BARACK OBAMA INAUGURATION

BARACK OBAMA INAUGURATION SPEECH

Since winning the US ELECTION in November of last year, BARACK OBAMA has been leading a wirl wind tour all leading up to the JANUARY 20, 2009 BARACK OBAMA INAUGURATION.

BARACK OBAMA will make US History on January 20th, 2009 when he is INAUGURATED as PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. BARACK OBAMA will be the FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The BARACK OBAMA INAUGURATION SPEECH promises to be a momentous occasion.

Citizens of the USA and people the world over will gather to hear the BARACK OBAMA INAUGURATION SPEECH when BARACK OBAMA ADDRESSES THE NATION DURING HIS PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION on JANUARY 20, 2009

The AGENDA FOR THE DAY OF BARACK OBAMA'S INAUGURATION promises to be as busy, if not busy than the above SCHEDULE OF THE DAY before THE BARACK OBAMA INAUGURATION. Below you will find a SCHEDULE OF EVENTS FOR THE BARACK OBAMA INAUGURATION. All leading up to the BARACK OBAMA INAUGURATION SPEECH and INAUGURAL ADDRESS TO THE NATION

An oath taking ceremony to INAUGURATE BARACK OBAMA the 44th President of the United States of America, BARACK OBAMA, and Vice-President Joseph Biden is to be held Tuesday on the western steps of the Capitol. The two will take an oath of allegiance to the Constitution and and the Country.

The BARACK OBAMA INAUGURATION day is to begin for BARACK OBAMA, 47, with a morning service at one of the capital's churches, the name of which has not been disclosed in advance by his aides and the US Secret Service agents for security considerations. Then, at 09: 55, local time, BARACK OBAMA together with his wife Michelle will arrive at the White House, where they will be greeted by President George W. Bush at the main entrance under the vaults of the so-called Northern Portico. Joe Biden together with his wife and the leaders of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies will also arrive at the presidential residence. They all will be offered coffee.

At 10:45 the presidential motorcade will ride from the White House to the Congress building on Capitol Hill, where the inauguaral ceremony is to begin at 11:30. At that moment BARACK OBAMA and Joe Biden are to mount the raised platform accompanied by the Chiefs of Staff of the Senate and the House of Representatives. The ceremony will open up with two music items to be performed by the orchestra of the US Marine Corps and children's choirs of boys and girls from San Francisco. Then Senator Dianne Feinstein, chairperson of the Joint Congressional Committee on INAUGURAL CEREMONIES, will address those present in a brief SPEECH of greetings. After her SPEECH Rick Warren, dean of the Episcopal Church, will say a prayer, followed by singing by "soul music queen" Aretha Franklin.

At 11:46 Joe Biden will be sworn in. The oath is to be administered by Supreme Court Member John Paul Stevens. At 11:56 BARACK OBAMA WILL BE SWORN IN. BARACK OBAMA will take the oath of office, rasining his right hand and putting his left hand on the Bible. The oath is to be administered by John Roberts, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

A quartet consisting of cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Israeli virtuoso violin player Yitzhak Perlman, famous Venezuelan woman pianist Gabriela Montero, and young talented clarinetist Anthony McGill of Cincinnati will perform in the interims between these two key aspects of the inauguaral ceremony. They will play works by contemporary American composer John Williams who wrote music for many well-known movies such as Star Wars, Jaws, and Harry Potter. The festivities are to end withTHE INAUGURAL ADDRESS OF BARACK OBAMA (at 12:01) and the playing of the US National Anthem.

In accordance with Article 2 of the Constitution, a President is bound to take the following oath: "I do solemnly swear and affirm that I will faithfully execute the office of Presdient of the United States, and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States". The words "And so help me God" are added, as a rule. to the traditional formula. According to the tradition established by George Washington at the first INAUGURAL CEREMONY in the Federal Hall in New York on April 30, 1789, a president takes an oath on the Bible, although this is not stipulated in the Constitution.

For his INAUGURATION BARACK OBAMA chose the Bible on which Abraham Lincoln had taken an oath in 1861. In general, BARACK OBAMA in many respects follows the ways of his great predecessor, the bicentenary of whose birth is to be marked in the United States throughout this year. The quotation from Lincoln's famous Gettysburg Address, "The New Birth of Freedom" has become the general theme of the present-day festivities.

After the INAUGURAL ADDRESS, BARACK OBAMA, in line with the tradition, will head to the Hall of Statues in the Capitol Building where a lunch is to be given in his honour.

A INAUGURATION PARADE from the Capitol, along the Pennsylvania Avenue, and to the White House will begin at 14:30 to last approximately three hours. The presidential limousine will lead the festive parade. Upon returning to the White House, BARACK OBAMA and Mrs. Michelle Obama are to moutn a specially erected rostrum protected with bulletprood glass, to greet the parade participants.

At 7 p.m. the newly INAUGURATED BARACK OBAMA will leave the White House and together with the First Lady will go to INAUGURAL BALLS, of which there will be ten this year. BARACK AND MICHELLE OBAMA intend to attend -- if only for a while -- all of them and, to be sure, to waltz there. The festivities will continue deep into the night and BARACK OBAMA and his wife will return to the White House only at dawn on January 21.
